A Cultural History of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

Here is a little something about Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! I wrote for the Worldwide Leader.

This is the "go the distance" version with extra trivia nuggets at the bottom that got cut from the original.

I feel, however, that I wasn't forthcoming in the original piece need to tell you that I never beat Iron Mike.

In fact, I never even got by Super Macho Man, and there's a chance I only beat Bald Bull in my dreams.

I know for a fact that I took down Piston Honda though. I fear not his TKO from Tokyo.

Enjoy this stroll down NES memory lane. For my money, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! is still the Greatest of All-Time. And if you forgot what made it the G.O.A.T., here's a quick refresher course from the champ.

Here's a hint, the candidate of choice has sweet lefty jumper.

I'm off to 23/6 election night party.

As they say in Hawaii, Okole Maluna!

Another Modest Proposal

My friends,

John McCain needs our help.

Now.

Time is running out.

Thanks to Jonathan Swift and his heirs at 23/6, I know how to save his campaign and rid Americans the ongoing scourge of talking to the elderly.

Yes We Can!

Where All the White Women At?

blzsadIn a revelatory piece of analysis sure to affect the outcome of the presidential election, MSNBC boldly predicted the key group that will send either Barack Obama or John McCain to the White House.
How political pundits, pollsters and politicos missed these "white women" and their voting patterns remains a mystery. The quiet unheralded minority--of 125 million people give or take--could turn out to be the deciding votes in 2008.
Thanks to the ever-popular 23/6: Some of the News, Most of the Time for allowing me to look into this timely issue.
